Kelli Tennant



Kelli M. Tennant (born December 10, 1987) is the host of the Ceremony Wellness podcast and a former television sports reporter best known for her role as a Host on SportsNet LA. In April 2019, she sued Luke Walton for sexual assault. [6]

Biography



Early Life

Born in Temecula, California, Tennant has grown up with one sibling, Steven Tennant, and both her parents Steve Tennant and Viviana Tennant. [8]

High School

Attending secondary school at Chaparral High School (Temecula, California), Tennant has taken part in tryouts for the U.S. Junior National team during the year of 2005. She has earned numerous recognition throughout her high school years surrounding volleyball, including being declared Riverside Press Enterprise Player of the Year in 2004. She was also listed on the All Girls' Volleyball team on Los Angeles Times.

University

Tennant attended the University of Southern California when offered a volleyball scholarship in 2009. [30] She was a part of the women's volleyball team of the USC Trojans in 2005-2006 as a middle blocker. During her freshman year, Tennant had a prolific season with her hitting percentage ranking the third-highest among USC at .239. [7]
As a sophomore, Kelli Tennant finished her volleyball year with a total of 132 points; an average of 2.06 points per game.
In 2007, Tennant was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia; a disorder characterized by the widespread pain affecting the muscles and the soft tissue. This caused the athlete to be removed from the game for the entire season of her junior year. However, Tennant continued on playing the role as one of the team's co-captains during her off-season.
Following the end of the volleyball season, Tennant had retired from collegiate volleyball after two years of playing.

Career

Tennant's love for television began at the age of 10. She began her career as a reporter in 2010 and has worked for networks across the country including ESPN, PAC12, E!News, Fox Sports, Spectrum Sportsnet, and SportsNet LAwhich covers the Lakers, Dodgers, Sparks and Galaxy. [30] [8] [6] 

She currently hosts the Ceremony Wellness podcast.

Personal Life

Kelli Tennant was the former fiancé of previous UCLA offensive lineman Amir “Nick” Ekbatani. [9] After his 2012 motorcycle accident in Redondo Beach, CA where he has lost a part of his left leg, Ekbatani required the constant care of his fiancé. She has stated that through many freelance job opportunities, the offers had to be turned down due to the amount of hospital trips she had to make for Ekbatani's surgeries. Tennant later broke up with him because of the situation.

Tennant is the author of "The Transition: Every Athlete's Guide to Life After Sports" which was published in 2014. 

Sexual Assault accusation against Luke Walton

In 2017, Tennant sued Luke Walton for a sexual assault that allegedly happened in 2017. Walton has been accused of pinning Tennant to the bed in her hotel room and forcing himself on her in California in May 2017. Tennant, who had reportedly known Walton for years, had asked Walton to come to her room to assist her with a book she was working on.
